Depending on your pain tolerance level, I would say if you have taken pain med,it is bearable pain and it only is in certain areas. I was the lucky one that only had 10 sections treatment where the technician had to run the sections 3 times. Each section lasts 10 seconds so as long as you can bear the pain for 10 seconds, it's not so bad. After the treatment, the lasered area do get tender but no downtown. I had a sections of about 3 inches that was bruised but it went away after a week and a half. Now, I can already noticed the difference of about a reduction of 1 inch around my abs. I heard the final result I will need to wait for 8 weeks but I am already satisfied with this non-invasive procedure.

I had my first treatment done a little over a week ago. I was medicated with 2 perks and a gravol. the treatment took 2 hours. during the treatment the pain was mild, i felt slight pulses which feel like elastic bands snapping at your skin. the stomach area was fine, no pain. the flanks on the otherhand were a little less bearable. nothing to much to handle though. when the treatment was done, i was up and walking, no down time. over the course of the last week ive had bruising, which cleared up rather quickly and tenderness, feeling like no more than a sunburn on the skin. i havent seen results as of yet, they say it takes 4-12 weeks to see the full result, however i have high hopes for the outcome considering ivemet a few ladies who have had the treament done as well! all who are interested in this should definitely not rule it out as an option!

I just did the treatment a few days ago. I wanted to post what it was like before I forget and I will update once I start seeing results.
It's actually not THAT bad and WAY better than going through surgery (I've been under the knife a few times and would never do it again if I could avoid it). I was under pain medication which helped (I couldn't imagine doing it without it) and felt some of the pulses - some hurt very much but I asked the technician to pulse through (instead of the 20 second pulse she would do spurts until it reached 20 seconds) which eased the pain. I found my stomach area to be pretty easy with little to moderate pain (depending on the area) but the flanks hurt (again - it's not unbearable). I would give my overall pain experience a 7 out of 10.
I was tired afterwards and a bit tender and swollen in the area. I took a nap, vaccumed my house and danced a little with my toddler! There is litterally no down time. You are tender and a bit out of sorts but otherwise fine. I wore my spanx (as instructed) and went to work the next day. Day 3 - I'm still wearing my spanx (just in case) and am slighly tender but I feel great! Obviously no results yet but will keep you posted.
If this does what it claims to do then I think this is worth every penny.

Just finished having my treatment with Liposonix yesterday. Ok, whatever anyone says, IT HURTS. It's not unbearable pain, but I needed meds and the ability to scream at certain points. I had 3 passes each on my stomach and 3 passed on each love handle. The technician was fantastic, and it did feel like at times my fat was "popping". Today (day after) I have some pretty severe bruising but otherwise feel great, and can go about my daily routine. Hope this was worth it, I'll find out in 8-12 weeks!

I have just past 4 weeks after my treatment and am already seeing results. I actually went back to the clinic for measurement and it showed a 2.5cm reduction in my waist circumference already. No wonder my pants are getting loose! The doctor said full results will be seen after 8 - 12 weeks, and I can't wait to see it then. I had some minor pain during the treatment, maybe one in every 10 zaps or so. Nothing intolerable. And I didn't take any pain medication. After the treatment there was some bruising and my tummy felt like I had done 200 sit ups for a few days. But other than that there was no restriction on any of my activities. I have been working out for the last few years trying to get rid of my stubborn belly and am happy that something finally works!

The pain associated with this treatment was unbelievable. I realize now that the technician wasn't operating the machine correctly. My abdomen did not always make full contact with the device. And it was clear from her reaction that the pain involved was not uncommon.
3 passes were planned, but I was unable to to complete even the first.
I would strongly urge anyone considering this to reconsider. I very much regret the expenditure and am very upset about the pain it caused.

I did i in Montreal . Need some pain medication because some time the heat is high and I felt like my fat was popping. The pain is tollerable because the technician can stop any time the treatment for few seconds.I need to wait 8 to 12 weeks but after 4 weeks I can use again my tight shirt which I could not use anymore and my paints fit better . After the treatment a lot of brusing but not pain .
